The Exam

FC PAEDIATRICS EXAM
The FC Paed(SA) examination comprises Part I and Part II: Part II must be passed within six years of passing Part I, failing which Part I will have to be repeated. This qualification forms part of a process to accredit medical practitioners as specialists in Paediatrics and Child Health.
FC PAED PART 1 EXAM
- 2 x MCQ papers
- 75 Questions each
- 3 Hours per paper
- A single mark will be awarded for the 150 MCQs combined
REQUIREMENTS:
Part I: No requirements.
Part II: 30 months in a numbered registrar training post completed at the time of writing the examination.
APLS/PALS certificate must be attached to your application.
NOTE: Candidates without proof of the APLS at the time of applying for the examination will be accepted provisionally (proof of payment to attend course to be attached) but MUST supply proof of having completed the APLS prior to the first written paper.
